We purchase sites of natural importance in the Czech Republic. Rare pieces of the landscape that have managed to retain a healthy habitat, as well as damaged areas that need to be restored. Each site in our portfolio is different and has its own unique story, but they're all on the way to achieving the same goal—the promotion of biodiversity of our landscape.

These are just some of the so-called ecosystem services, which can be best described as the resources that nature provides free of charge to humans. But, in order to provide them, it must consist of intact, functioning ecosystems that are, among other things, species diverse.
Water and air purification, climate regulation, erosion and flood control, carbon sequestration, and storage.
Species diversity, or biodiversity, is one of the elements that humanity can't do without in the long term.
Here at Refugium, we invest in its support and restoration. Not as a non-profit organization or government agency, but as a private company. We believe that the private sector can also play a key role in nature conservation.
